Introduction

Welcome to LibLink. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "Application"). Please read this privacy policy carefully.

The LibLink platform ("Service") is currently owned and operated by Diwakar Kumar Ujjwal (hereinafter referred to as "LibLink", "we", "us", or "our"). It is intended that the Service will be transferred to a corporate entity, Liblink Technologies Private Limited, upon its formal incorporation, at which point this policy will be updated.

By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, information that is generated when you use our services, and information from third-party sources.

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Information: When you register for an account via email or Google Sign-In, we collect your full name, email address, and password. You are also required to create a unique username and provide your phone number, gender, and the name of the exam you are preparing for.
  • Profile Information: You may choose to provide further information for your user profile, such as a profile picture and a short biography.
  • User-Uploaded Content: We collect content you upload to the Service. This includes:
    • Identity and Payment Proofs: For the purpose of booking a seat, you are required to upload an image of your identity proof and a screenshot of your payment confirmation. This information is shared only with the respective Library Owner for verification.
    • Profile Pictures: You can upload an image from your device to serve as your profile picture.
  • Communications: We collect the content of messages you send and receive through the Application's chat feature. We also collect information you provide when you contact us for support.

B. Information We Collect When You Use Our Services

  • Usage Information: We collect information about your activity on the Application, such as the features you use (e.g., Study Timer, Quick Revise), libraries you view, and your interactions with other users.
  • Study Data: We log the duration of your study sessions when you use the Study Timer to provide you with features like the Study Report Card.
  • Device Information: We may collect information about your mobile device, including, for example, the hardware model, operating system and version, and unique device identifiers like the FCM token for push notifications.

C. Information for Library Partners

If you apply to become a Library Partner, we collect additional information, including: Your library's name, address, city, and total seat capacity; photographs of your library; a list of facilities your library provides; time slot and pricing information; and your UPI ID(s) and/or bank account details to facilitate payments.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service.
  • To Facilitate Transactions with Library Owners.
  • To Enable user-to-user Communication.
  • For Personalization of your experience.
  • For Safety and Security of the platform.
  • For Support and Application Improvement.
  • To Send you important service-related Notifications.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

We do not share your personal information except in the limited circumstances described below.

  • With Other Users: Your public profile (username, profile picture) is visible to other users.
  • With Library Owners: When you book a seat, we share your name, username, and uploaded proofs with the specific Library Owner for verification purposes only.
  • With Service Providers: We use Google (Firebase) for backend services like authentication, database, and storage. They are bound by their own privacy policies.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may share information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of LibLink and its users.

4. Data Security and Retention

We use technical and administrative security measures, including Firebase Security Rules, to protect your information. We retain your data as long as you maintain an account. If you delete your account, we will take steps to delete your information as described in the section below.

5. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You have the right to access and update your information through the profile settings in the Application. You also have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data.

Our account deletion process is as follows:

  1. When you request to delete your account, it will first be deactivated for a grace period of 7 days.
  2. You can reactivate your account at any time within this 7-day period simply by logging in again.
  3. If you do not log in within the 7-day grace period, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.

Some data may be retained for a limited period for legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes.

6. Children's Policy

Our services are not intended for—and we don’t direct them to—anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will notify you by revising the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice.
